What is a CISCE Convenor School?
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is the national examination body responsible for conducting the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations through its affiliated schools.
With a large network of affiliated schools across India and abroad, the effective coordination of examinations requires strong regional leadership and close collaboration among schools.
For this purpose, CISCE appoints experienced Heads of affiliated schools as Convenors for designated zones.
A school led by a CISCE-appointed Convenor therefore has an important role within the wider CISCE network. The Convenor acts as a key coordinating link between the Council and affiliated schools in the designated region, particularly in matters connected with the smooth and orderly conduct of CISCE examinations.
